<p>A tap body includes a plastic shroud 6, a plastic tap spindle 7 and locking collar 12. The body has an inner insert 5 which has an internal threaded portion 18. Spindle 7 has an external threaded portion 19 which engages threaded portion 18 to reciprocate spindle 7 when it is rotated. Locking collar 12 prevents spindle 7 from being detached from shroud 6 as spindle 7 is rotated to open the tap. Insert 5 may be metal or may be integral with plastics shroud 6.</p> |
