PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder for extending the service life of the components of a tape-feeding mechanism. SOLUTION: In a tape feeder for successively supplying electronic components to a pickup position by performing the pitch feed of a tape that retains the electronic components, a press force F for pressing cover members 18a and 18c for covering the upper position of a tape 12A on a frame member 13 to a frame member 13 and a side plate 35 is supported by step parts 13d and 35a to prevent the press force F from being applied directly to the tape 12A, thus reducing the running resistance of tape feed for decreasing load weight to the components of a tape feeding mechanism and hence extending life times of the parts. |
