CLEANING DEVICE FOR CAPSTAN SHAFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaning device for a capstan shaft capable of maintaining the cleaning effect to the capstan shaft for a long period. SOLUTION: A cleaning member 30 is so constructed as to be energized to a moving mechanism 32 and to be turned around a shaft 36 to cause the abutment of abutment sections 38a and 38b with the capstan shaft 24. The abutment sections 38a and 38b are formed to a projecting shape of dull anglesθa andθb in the cross-sectional shape in the diametral direction of the capstan shaft 24 and have abutment lines L1 and L2 parallel with the axis of the capstan shaft 24. Clearances 42 are disposed between the sections 40a and 40b of a bearing part 40 parallel with the plane inclusive of the abutment lines L1 and L2 and the shaft 36 by which the bearing part 40 is pivotally born. The projections 44a and 44b are formed in the sections 40a and 40b of the bearing part 40 near the side provided with an arm 31. The bearing part 40 is detained to the shaft 36 by the projections 44a and 44b and is made freely displaceable around the projections 44a and 44b as fulcra. The abutment lines L1 and L2 of the cleaning member 30 are so displaced as to come into tight contact by profiling the capstan shaft 24.
