PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked piezoelectric ceramic satisfactory in moisture resistance which does not cause migration of electrode material or short circuit, without absorbing water in a package. SOLUTION: This stacked piezoelectric ceramic is constituted by forming an insulator layers 5, so that they form the inner electrode layers 7 into counter electrodes separately for each layer, on the flanks of a stack 2 where a plurality (here, eight layers) piezoelectric layers 6 and a plurality (here, seven layers) of inner electrodes layers 7 are stacked, by forming outer electrodes 4 on the insulating layers 5, by connecting external takeout terminals to the outer electrodes 4, and then, by packaging the all of the exposed parts of the inner electrode layers 7 and the outer electrode layers 4 with silicone by silicone vanish. The silicone of the package 1 is hardened after removal of moisture by addition of heat treatment, so that the package 1 will not absorb water, and it can prevent penetration of moisture into the inner electrode layer 7 and the outer electrode 4, so that it does not cause migration of electrode material or short circuit. |
