摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding device which can remove granular noise by means of obtaining noise-removed decoding data which does not contain granular noise by selectively storing only a high-order bit except for a low-order bit to which granular noise may be contained. SOLUTION: Two types of registers 12 and 13 whose targets are different are arranged in the post-stage of an ADPCM decoder 11. At the time of storing again PCM data stored in the PCM value storage register 12 constituting the prestage register in the granular noise removal register 13 constituting the post-stage register, a method for removing the low-order bit equivalent to granular noise is adopted. Thus, a decoding device where PCM data given to a post- stage circuit (DAC 14, for example) and granular noise do not remain can be obtained. Namely, a risk that granular noise affects a subsequent processing is eliminated since data obtained by removing the low-order bit to which granular noise is contained is set to be a decoding result.
