The device is used in mechanical handling operations and in transportation of loads in civil engineering, wood felling, etc., for rescue operations in dropping people related to mountaineering and hiking, and as a fixing device in yachting, as well as for stypsis in medicine. It guarantees the safe fixing of the band with a facility for its self-tightening and self-retention during the usage of the device. The latter consists of a lower and upper interconnected mobile parts between the contact surfaces of which a band is fixed, its lower part in the form of a casing with a base and two side vertical walls, and between them a supporting and pressing axles are mounted, and front and rear fixing elements to the base where the upper part is in the form of a cover along the whole width of which an L-shaped notch is fabricated on its internal side for the supporting axle, and a horizontal notch is formed in its front part ending with a seat for the end of the band with a fixing element in the seat. An adjustment pin (2.4) is fabricated along the entire length of the contact surface of cover (2), in its front part, and a pressing pin (2.5) in its rear part. At the same time matching holding components in the form of fixing cogs (1.4) are made along the entire width of the contact surface of base (1) under the adjustment pin (2.4) and under the pressing pin (2.5). In addition the supporting axle is made in two parts, symmetrical and opposite to every vertical wall (1.1) in the form of supporting axles (1.2) under which the pressing axle is also made in two parts, symmetrical and opposite to each vertical wall (1.1) in the form of guides (1.3).
