摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereoscopic video display device capable of surely preventing a deterioration of video quality caused by a chromatic aberration by deciding an optical distance based on the difference of the wavelength of color component light generated from plural light source parts so that the chromatic aberration may be compensated. SOLUTION: A blue light source system, a red light source system and a green light source system are arranged so that the length of an optical path from a shutter device 13G, 13R or 13B to a spatial modulation part 15G, 15R or 15B may be short in the blue light source system, may be long in the red light source system and may be a middle value between them in the green light source system. Therefore, a red light side is deviated toward a light source by a distance equivalent to the difference between the image-formation positions of blue light and red light before the light is made incident on a convex lens 18. The green, the red and the blue light source systems are arranged by adjusting so that distances between convex lenses 14G, 14R and 14B and the spatial modulation parts 15G, 15R and 15B may be different. Thus, the light beams from plural light sources are superimposed nearly in the same area and become white light to illuminate the area, whereby a stereoscopic video is excellently observed in the illuminated area.
