PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing polymerization generated inside a multitubular heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The method refers to a method for restraining polymerization in a multitubular heat exchanger using seamless pipes, cold finishing automatic arc welding steel pipes and weld-worked finishing automatic arc welding steel pipes as heat transfer tubes contained in the multitubular heat exchanger when an easily polymerizable material is passed through and allowed to conduct heat exchange in the multitubular heat exchanger as a process fluid. Eliminating roughness inside the heat transfer tubes prevents polymerization of the easily polimerizable material, obstructing sticking of polymers. This improves heat exchange efficiency, enabling a long-term continuous operation. |
