PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless space from being caused even when a received image is recorded on recording paper larger than a detected original size in the case that recording paper with a size coincident with the original size of a detected received image is not set. SOLUTION: A facsimile terminal F as the subject recorder is provided with a control means 1. The control means 1 detects an original size of a received image in the case of receiving an image, selects recording paper with a size larger than the detected original size when the recording paper whose size is coincident with the detected original size is not set, and the received image is magnified and recorded on the selected recording paper in matching with the selected recording paper.
