PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a black-and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material without producing fur and silver sludge in the washing tank of an automatic processing machine by incorporating one of specified compounds and an oxidizing agent into a washing solution when the sensitive material is processed using the processing machine in developing, fixing, washing and drying steps. In the formula, B is H, OH or CH2COOM, when B is H, A1-A9 are each H, CnH2n+1 or (CH2)m [where (n) is an integer of 1-3, (m) is an integer of 0-3 and X is COOM, NH2 or OH], all of A1-A9 are not H, n1=1, n2=1, n3 and n4 are each an integer and n3+n4=1 to 4.
