PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly precise optical recording device where an error hardly occurs in an interval between the scanning lines of multibeams even if an arrangement error of a photosensitive drum occurs by crossing the main beams of multibeams on the more scanning lens side than a rotary polygonal mirror position in an auxiliary scanning direction. SOLUTION: In the position of the reflection face 5 of a rotary polygonal mirror, the parallel beams of multibeams cross one another. Namely, the main beams of the multibeams in a meridional direction cross in a rotary polygonal mirror position. Thus, the size of the rotary polygonal mirror can be similar to the case when only one beam exists even if the multibeams are used. The multibeams deflected in the rotary polygonal mirror are converged on a photosensitive drum 7. When the optical system is used, the main beams of the multibeams emitted from the scanning lens move in parallel to an optical axis against an auxiliary scanning direction. Even if an arrangement error occurs in the photosensitive drum 7, the interval of the scanning lines which the multibeams form is difficult to be fluctuated.
