PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum foil for an electrolytic capacitor electrode, capable of stably ensuring a high (100) face rate, producing a high capacitance after it is etched, and satisfying the request for reduced cost, even with a raw aluminum material having low aluminum purity. SOLUTION: An aluminum foil for an electrolytic capacitor electrode manufactured by heating, hot-rolling, and cold-rolling an aluminum ingot which has aluminum purity of 99.9% or higher has relative strength ratio of 1.2 or more for S orientation/brass orientation in crystal orientation density and a high (100) face rate, when it is reduced to a final aluminum foil as an electrode and thus can produce high capacitance after being etched.
