<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change picture quality without having to stop photographing during photographing a moving image by providing an input for a command for changing the compression of an image and a means for changing the compression of the image based on the command from the input during photographing the moving image. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with a change-over switch for switching a picture change mode in which the picture quality can be changed without interrupting photographing during photographing a moving image and a fixed mode in which the picture cannot be changed during photographing. In the picture change mode, a bit rate is changed by pressing a video recording button 11. That is, in order to change the picture quality without interrupting photographing during photographing the moving image, this camera is provided with a pressure sensor 12 for detecting the pressure of the button 11 and a bit rate value converting part 13 for deciding a bit rate on the basis of the pressure of the button 11 detected by the sensor 12.</p> |
