A plastics bag is provided with a separable and reclosable closure device 1 made up of two strips 2. Each strip 2 includes a base 3 provided on one face with a closure element 4 suitable for co-operating with the closure element of the other strip, and on its opposite face with at least one fixing rib 5 for fixing the base 3 onto a wall 10 of a bag by melting and compressing the fixing rib 5 against the wall. The cross-section of the fixing rib is of a width that increases going away from its free end towards the base. The fixing rib may have a cross-section that is triangular in shape.
