PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a black stripe from being caused at the leading edge part of paper. SOLUTION: This exposure device is constituted so that a non-image area is formed on a photoreceptor by exposing the surface of the photoreceptor and eliminating the electric charge thereof. Then, it is provided with a blank exposure lamp formed by arraying many light emitting diodes 31, a constant- voltage power source circuit 35 for applying constant voltage to the respective diodes 31 and a switching element 36 executing the on/off action of the voltage applied to the respective diodes 31. When the blank exposure lamp is switched to be turned off from the turning-on state thereof, the element 36 is controlled by a control part 110 so that one or plural pieces of pulse voltage are generated and applied to the blank exposure lamp. Thus, the light quantity of the blank exposure lamp can be slowly changed when the turning-on state is switched to the turning-off state. |
