<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the production process of a resin liquid crystal formed body and a liquid crystal display device using this formed body, to decrease the production cost and to obtain a lightweight thin device. SOLUTION: In this device, a substrate side resin film 27, supporting members 22 as partition walls, and a counter resin film 23 supported by the supporting members 22 are formed on a glass substrate 21. A first liquid crystal layer 24 is formed by sealing a liquid crystal layer containing a dichroic dye (a tolan-based nematic liquid crystal and an azo yellow dye) between the substrate side resin film 27 and the counter resin film 23. The supporting members 22, the counter resin film 23 and the substrate side resin film 27 are formed in one body by polymn. and hardening of a photosensitive prepolymer by irradiation of UV rays. A counter electrode 28 is formed on the counter resin film 23 to constitute a first display layer 37. A second display layer 38 and a third display layer 39 both having almost the same structure as that of the first display layer 37 are formed on the first display layer 37. The dichroic dye in the second liquid crystal layer 33 which constitutes the second display layer 38 is a perylene dye showing magenta color, and the dichroic dye in the third liquid crystal layer 34 which constitutes the third display layer 39 is a anthraquinone dye showing cyan color.</p> |
