PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever driving type electric connector capable of easily fitting a lever to a housing without accessing a rotating point. SOLUTION: An electric connector has a driving lever 10 and a housing 8. The driving lever 10 for fitting the electric connector 6 to a mating connector 4 has flexible lever legs 38, 40. The lever leg has a rotating hole passing through the lever leg. The housing 8 has a wall. The wall has a rotating pin extending from the wall and accepted within the hole of the lever leg, and rotates the driving lever. A guide member matching with the rotating pin and a cam are installed as a part of housing 8. A guide surface and a cam surface are formed on the driving lever so as to be complementary to the guide member and the cam, match the hole with the pin, and bend the end of the lever leg on the pin. The lever has releasing structure so that the lever can be operated when the rotating pin is accepted within the hole.
