摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-limiting fuse for surely opening an electrical path in an extremely short time on the order of half a wavelength with a sufficient critical current density even in the cases where it is used in a power distribution system. SOLUTION: In a superconducting member electrically connected between a power supply source and the power demand side and melted by an overcurrent larger than rated to cut off the current, the superconducting member is provided on an insulating substrate 33 having a fixed thickness and electrical insulation properties, and made up of a superconducting thin film 34 melted by an overcurrent flowing therethrough. Also, this is provided with a superconducting member that is cut off when an overcurrent flows therethrough and a conducting member for current transfer connected to a power supply line or to the superconducting member to make a circuit around the cut-off portion of the superconducting member for supplying current when the superconducting member is cut off.
