PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material excellent in color forming property and having remarkably improved light fastness of a magenta dye image by incorporating a specified magenta coupler into one of green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has photographic constituent layers including blue-, green- and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a substrate and contains a magenta coupler of the formula in one of the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers. In the formula, R is H or a substituent, R1 and R2 are each alkyl, L1 is alkylene or arylene, L2 is alkylene, arylene, O, carbonyl, sulfonyl or a divalent group obtained by combining these, R3 and R4 are each H or a substituent, R5 is a substituent, (n) is an integer of 0-4, X is H or an atom or group which can be released by reaction with the oxidized body of a color developing agent and Z is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form an N-containing heterocycle.
