PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the range of the machining accuracy of a negative mask, to facilitate the machining of the negative mask and to shorten machining time to produce it at low cost by setting the range of an image to be printed on photosensitive material from a read image and storing image data whose range is set. SOLUTION: An entire film surface appearing in the aperture part of the negative mask is read as the image by an image read means 7. The read image is stored in the storage part 92 of a controller 91. Thereafter, the image is processed and resized to the range of the image being the image to be printed on the photosensitive material in an image range setting part 93. Such resizing processing is performed 30 that the image may be processed to be smaller than the size of the image read by the means 7. The image data which is processed and resized is stored in the storage part 92 again. The image data is transmitted to a printing processing device 11 and the image of the film is digitally printed in the range of the image which is processed and resized on the pohotosensitive material.
