PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the production cost and to minimize the size of a liquid crystal display device. Also, retardation R between the liquid crystal layer 3 and phase compensation plates 4, 5 is controlled to half or less than the min. wavelength of light relating to the display. Thus, the controlling process of voltage relating to the display of each color can be simplified. |
