PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information entry system capable of efficiently obtaining individual information. SOLUTION: In this information entry system, when a passbook is inserted to an entry machine 53 at a base 50, employee ID information is automatically read from the magnetic tape of the passbook by the entry machine 53. Read data are transmitted through a protocol converter 52, a router 51 and a network 80 to a head office department 10. An entry management server 12 receives the employee ID information sent from the base 50 through the router 24 and a transmission line 11, takes out salary data pertinent to the employee ID from a salary data base 22 and transmits the taken-out data to the entry machine 53. The entry machine 53 receives the salary data and enters them to the passbook.
