PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that can set a size of received image data and a size of an area for the processing in the unit of pixels and can apply prescribed processing to a set area without the need for a defect of pixels and addition of undesired pixels required substantially even in the occasion. SOLUTION: Image data received from an image input section are packed in the unit of blocks. In this case, even when the final block is not filled by image data, the block is outputted as a complete block. A segmentation section 2 receives image data for each block and segments the data in the unit of blocks from a head bit of a head block including a head of an area to be processed. The segmented final block may possible include undesired bits. A replacement section 5 replaces the undesired bits with replaced data and outputs the data. Thus, missing of pixels or addition of undesired bits can be prevented. |
