PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a switching power-supply apparatus which restrains heat generated from a heat generating electronic component from reaching a heat affected electronic component, in which the heat generating electronic component and the thermally influenced electronic component are provided inside the same casing and whose service life can be made long. SOLUTION: A housing space SP is partitioned into two subspaces SSP1, SSP2 by a board 92, which is arranged on the surface side of a board 91. Then, an electrolytic capacitor 301 and an electrolytic capacitor 302 which correspond to heat affected components are arranged in the second subspace SSP2. A diode for rectification, a power transistor for switching, a transistor 24 and the like which correspond to heat generating components are arranged in the first subspace SSP1. The board 92 functions as a heat insulating plate to prevent heat inside the first subspace SSP1 from reaching the second subspace SSP2.
