The rock anchor is particularly for use in low strength mining surfaces and comprises a bundle of individual rods running parallel to one another and adherable over their length in a borehole. Outside the borehole the rock anchor is connectable to an anchor plate. The bundle of individual rods (1) is firmly connected with an anchor head (3) penetrating the anchor plate. The anchor head comprises a conically widening socket-shaped section (4), to which is connected an outwardly dome-shaped section (5). The plate-shaped anchor plate in the central area is correspondingly formed with the dome-shaped section and has a long hole-type and partly off-center penetration aperture.
