PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device which can save power consumption in a sleep condition of power required equipment. SOLUTION: This power supply device 10, having a main power source 11 and a chargeable backup power source 13, supplies power to power required equipment. This device comprises switching devices 12, 26, 30 for switching connection of the main power source, voltage measurement device 34 for measuring the voltage of the backup power source, a time counter 36 for measuring the time from the transfer time in the case of transfer from a sleep condition to a wake condition, and a control device 16 for controlling the switching device, a voltage measurement device, and the time counter. This device monitors the voltage of the backup power source in the sleep condition of the power required equipment, to cause its sleep condition to be transferred to the wake condition for a fixed time, when the voltage of the backup power source is decreased to a prescribed voltage or less, and the main power source is connected to the backup power source to charge it. |
