PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide only a desired electrical appliance with an additional function for executing another operation in addition to the operation of a main body to be controlled by a remote controller by detachably providing a household electric appliance with the main body for a prescribed operation by photodetecting infrared rays radiated from an infrared remote controller. SOLUTION: A household electric appliance is detachably provided with a main body for executing prescribed operation by photodetecting infrared rays radiated from an infrared remote controller. For example, in a remote controller photodetecting device 1, a main body 2 is freely attachable and detachable to a seat plate 3.
