PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely set judgement reference by providing a changing means for changing the length of the judgement reference whether or not to process a frame picture whose length is shorter than the length of one frame by using an input means. SOLUTION: A control part 20 is equipped with a picture processing means processing the image of the frame picture read by a scanner 12 based on an exposing condition and displaying it on a picture monitor 30. A sensor 15 detecting the length of the frame picture is disposed on the entrance side of an automatic negative mask 11. A judging means 24 compares the length of the picture of the frame at the end detected by the sensor 15 with the length of the judgement reference stored in a storage means 23 and outputs a control signal designating whether or not to perform processing by the processing means. The length of the judgement reference stored in the storage means 23 is changed through the changing means 25 by operating the up/down key or the ten key of a keyboard part 40.
