MANUFACTURE OF POLYMERIC ELECTRET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymeric electret which can sufficiently orient dipoles, without causing dielectric breakdown and also can make a large-area film into a uniform electret. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a polymer electret, a polar polymeric film is sandwiched by a material which is higher and by a material lower in surface energy than that of the polymeric film, and cooled from a dipole rotatable temperature. The differences between the film and materials sandwiching the film are each set at at least 10 dyn/cm. The dipole rotatable temperature is set not smaller than the Curie point Tc of the polar polymer or is 1.2 times a glass transition point Tg or more.
