PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high reliability while mutually defining plural hosts as hot standby systems and not only to distribute a job to be executed but also to distribute an operating system itself. SOLUTION: This distributed job execution system is provided with plural hosts 1 and 2 and a file 3 shared by the respective hosts and the respective hosts partially charge processing of a job. In this case, a function for managing the processing of the inputted job is defined as plural moving units 11 and 21, a virtual host name for unique access from each host to each moving unit is set to this moving unit, the moving unit is moved to any arbitrary host and held and the processing of the above job is executed.
