PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain an excellent image with constant image density by suppressing the change of the density of the image to be formed in the case that a gap between a developer carrier and an image carrier fluctuates when development is executed by applying AC voltage to the developer carrier opposed to the image carrier through the required gap. SOLUTION: This developing device is constituted so that development is executed by guiding developer 2 by a developer carrier 11 to a developing area opposed to the image carrier 1 through a required gap (d) and applying AC voltage consisting of rectangular waves to the carrier 11 from a power source 14. A capacitor 15, a resistance 16 and a rectifying element 17 are connected in parallel between the power source 14 and the carrier 11. Besides, the element 17 is connected in such a direction that the current by the AC voltage for feeding the developer 2 to the carrier 1 is cut off. |
