PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic sounding body which is small and lightweight and shares the structure of a vibrating motor, by forming a bias magnetic field out of a permanent magnet in a fine air-gap between a diaphragm drive and the driving magnet of an electromagnetic sounding body with a vibrating motor. SOLUTION: A bias magnetic field necessary for driving a sounding body 300 by a permanent magnet 137 determined by a design generated in a fine air-gap 315 formed out of a driving pole 306 and a diaphragm drive 303 consists of an upper yoke 304, a diaphragm 302, a lower yoke 307, and a vibrating pole 306. Since a coil 111 of an armature 100 interlinks so as to surround the driving pole 306 by activating the sounding body, and voltage is applied to the coil 111 with a prescribed pulse, driving magnetomotive force is generated in the fine air-gap 315 between the diaphragm drive 303 and the driving pole 306 to generate a vibrating force at the diaphragm 302 with the bias magnetic field by the permanent magnet 137. The armature 100 is stopped and retained so as not to have a magnetic body 116 rotate, so that the vibrating motor is prevented from starting.
