PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor with a wide dynamic range where a remarkable increase in the power consumption can be suppressed even when a different power supply voltage is applied to the image sensor. SOLUTION: The image sensor is provided with a plurality of photo diodes 1 that generate signal charges in response to an incident light, whose cathodes are connected as common electrodes, and whose anode are connected to reset FETs, inverting circuits 3, 4 that invert outputs from the anodes of the photo diodes 1, a voltage current conversion circuit 7 that converts an output voltage from the inverting circuits 3, 4 into a current, a reset circuit having a reset FET 2 that restores a level of the anode of the photo diode 1 to an initial state, a current voltage conversion circuit 20 that sums currents from the voltage current conversion circuits 7 corresponding to the outputs of the plurality of the photo diodes 1 and converts the summed current into a voltage, and a scanning circuit 14 that outputs signals from a plurality of the photo diodes 1 in time series.
