摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which forms a nip part satisfying fixability even with a core shaft having a good thermal conductivity and degraded shear strength in order to facilitate processing and has roller constitution having the good thermal conductivity. SOLUTION: This device has a fixing roller 1A including a halogen heater (heat source) 3 and a pressurizing roller 2A to be brought into pressurized contact with the fixing roller 1A and fixes an unfixed developer image onto transfer paper 24 by holding and transporting the transfer paper (recording material) 24 carrying the unfixed developer image by the pressurized contact part of the fixing roller 1A and the pressurizing roller 2A. The release layers (front layers) 13 and 13a constituting the respective surfaces of the fixing roller 1A and the pressurizing roller 2A of the fixing device described above are formed of fluororesins. The lower layers of the release layers 13 and 13a of the fixing roller 1A and the pressurizing roller 2A are composed of elastic layers (hot heat resistant rubber layers) 12a and 12a of <=5 deg. in the requirements stipulated in JIS-A. The core shafts 11 and 11a of the fixing roller 1A and the pressurizing roller 2A are composed of Al-Mg-Si alloys (6000 system) of the drawing materials of aluminum alloys.
