The invention concerns a tie with simplified knot, comprising a prefabricated truncated knot portion with upper and lower orifices, provided with a element to be fastened to the collar or around the neck and a flexible strip designed to be inserted and blocked inside the knot so as to form a tie. The invention is characterised in that the knot portion (1) is provided with a single rear horizontal slot (2) for blocking the rear side of the flexible strip (3), after the rear side of said strip (3) has been passed above the top rear edge of the knot portion (1) and inserted through said slot (2) inside the knot portion (1) at the rear of the strip front side and the top rear edge of the knot portion (1) located at a lower level than that of the front edge so as to conceal the rear upper passage of the strip (3) above said edge.
