<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contamination of a liquid crystal injection port by cutting chips or polishing waste produced in the post treatment such as chamfering and polishing the cut face, by cutting a liquid crystal display cell produced by laminating specified resin substrates with a CO2 gas laser. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display cell produced by laminating a pair of three-dimensionally crosslinked resin substrates is cut with a CO2 gas laser. The output of the CO2 gas laser may be in the range from 5 to 50 W, and the moving rate of the laser beam may be in the range from 10 to 60 mm/sec. The resin of the resin substrate is prepared by polymn. of monomers having a functional group expressed by formula I and functional groups expressed by formula II or formula III in one molecule, or prepared by copolymn. of the monomer and a monomer having at least one kind of functional group selected from functional groups expressed by formulae IV to VI in the number of m (m is an integer 1 to 6). In the formulae, X is an oxygen atom or sulfur atom, and R1 is a hydrogen atom or methyl group.</p> |
