PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly conduct terminal processing for a split type optical fiber core tape by allowing a tip part of the split type optical fiber core tape to be split into respective optical fiber core tapes contained in its inside, in the case where the split type optical fiber core tape is laid and arranged. SOLUTION: Average tearing strength, by a Trouser tear method pursuant to JISK7128, of a portion connected by a connecting-resin coating layer 6 between optical fiber core tapes 5 of a split type optical fiber core tape 7 is made within a range from 0.01 kgf/mm to 0.10 kgf/mm, and its tearing strength by a right angled tear method pursuant to JISK7128 is made within a range from 0.1 kgf/mm to 3.0 kgf/mm.
