PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tape cassette such that the strength and assembling easiness are improved while having a superior durability in the case the lock member of a cover is formed into a spring integrated structure in the tape cassette. SOLUTION: This tape cassette is provided with a cover turnably arranged on a case so as to cover a tape-like body positioned on the front surface of the case and the lock member 7 arranged inside the case for locking this cover in the closed state covering the front surface. The lock member 7 is furnished with turning shafts 71a, 71b supported inside the case while turning with a main body member 72, an engaging protruded part 73 turning around the turning shaft between the locking position engaged with the cover and the not engaged unlocking position, energizing members 76, 75 for energizing this engaging protruded part to the locking position, and a lock releasing part 74 for making the engaging protruded part move to the unlocking position against the energizing force of the energizing members, then the energizing members are formed integrally with the main body member at the positions away from the engaging protruded part and the lock releasing part.
