PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient cooling system having simple and compact structure and excellent in maintainability which can be installed in any place. SOLUTION: In a cooling tower having heat transfer tubes for passing fluid to be cooled and being cooled by means of a fan, the heat transfer tubes provided with fins is disposed as a radiator 55 on the outside of the cooling tower, a chiller 60 comprising a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve and an evaporator and compressing/expanding refrigerant repeatedly is provided. The condenser is provided for a finned condenser 62 where fins are provided for the heat transfer tubes and disposed on the inside of the radiator and air is supplied to the radiator 55 and the condenser 62 by means of a fan 51. Fluid to be cooled returning from an apparatus to be cooled is passed from the radiator 55 through the evaporator 66 of the chiller and cooled before being supplied to an apparatus being cooled.
