A ground conductor for grounding systems of electrostatic separators, comprising an electroconductive core with a plastic or rubber sheath. In order to prevent the liquids from flowing therethrough, the inventive ground conductor consists of two conducting parts, the conducting parts are joined to each other by means of a liquid-tight graphite part whereby the conducting parts are secured thereto, and the graphite part and the sections of the conducting parts are embedded in a plastic body.
