An inhaler contains 40-250 g crystalline iodine containing mineral salt of volcanic origin. 35-60% Of this salt is of 1-1.5 mm grain size and 40-65% of 5-6 mm particle size. The salt mixture is placed in a cylindrical (preferred) or a rectangular container, complete with a suitable outlet and on the opposite side with one or more inlets of a greater area than the outlet.
