The subject invention pertains to compounds such as which are useful as anti - inflammatory agents and to compositions containig such compounds as active ingredients. The novel uses of the compounds relate to the anti-neurogenic inflammatory properties of the disclosed compounds. Specifically exemplified herein is the use of manzamines A, B, C, D, E and F, and their salts, analog s, and derivatives.
