The coder produces a two output signal which include a turnable wheel with an internal wall. A frame supports the wheels and an elastic device is arranged at the frame and exerts an elastic force on the internal wall of the wheel. A turnable disk is mounted on the wheel and secured from turning which is provided with several inlets which are arranged with a preset step width on a circular line about the rotational axis of the disk. An axial rod possesses a far section and extends itself vertically of disk a switch arranged not far from the far section of the axial rod, in which case a pressure exerted on the turnable wheel compresses the elastic device and shifts the axis of the wheel of the wheel as well as the disk, so that the axial rod with switch reaches into contact and produces the first outputs signal. A light transmitter is provided on a side of the disk and a light receiver which is provided on the other disk. The light transmitter and receivers are arranged in such a way that light is moved by the transmitter by an inlet in disk and received by the light receiver if the rotary position of the disk is aligned and the light transmitter is caught by the disk, if the rotary position of disk is not aimed at the transmitted. The received light produces the second output signal. The elastic device has a spring and where the internal wall of the turnable wheel a rotating roller is arranged.
