Isolating immortalized cells (A) producing monoclonal or monospecific antibodies (Ab) comprising cultivating a batch of cells, containing Ab-producing cells, after immortalization, until stabilized, treating the culture with labeled antigen (used for immunization) or labeled antibody, and separating labeled from unlabeled cells, is new. An Independent claim is also included for the use of a cell sorter for isolation of Ab-producing cells from other cells in a mixture, after preliminary labeling of the Ab-producing cells.
