<p>A twin fluid atomising nozzle having a nozzle body (11), nozzle insert (12) and nozzle tip (13) wherein a main conduit (27) including a venturi-like portion just downstream of side conduits (26) feeding air from a circumferential annulus area formed between a reduced diameter insert inner well (57) and the nozzle body channel (20). Air is fed into a side opening (22) of the nozzle body (11) feeding to the annulus area while the liquid to be atomised is fed into an opening (21) feeding to the end of the main conduit of the insert (12). The venturi effect together with the application of pressurised air through the side conduits (26) results in efficient atomisation.</p> |
