The valve has a magnetic armature (1) in a valve housing (10) that performs a stroke movement depending on a magnetic coil (8) subjected to current so a valve rod (2) interacts with a valve seat (5) by means of its valve closure element (7). An aperture (3) of defined length, width and depth in the valve rod extends into an annular part (4) set into a pressurized medium channel (13) passing through the valve housing. The valve seat is formed on one end of the annular part facing the armature. The valve rod has a band facing the end of the annular part as the valve closure element.
