POWDER FOR COSMETIC PREPARATION WITH ULTRAVIOLET-SCREENING PROPERTY

A cosmetic powder which is obtained by treating a powder having ultraviolet-screening properties with a fluorocopolymer comprising (a) 5 to 95 wt.% repeating units derived from a fluorinated (meth)acrylate, (b) 1 to 50 wt.% repeating units derived from a polymerizable silicon compound, and (c) 0 to 50 wt.% repeating units derived from a nonfluorinated monomer which is not a polymerizable silicon compound. It is excellent in ultraviolet screening, water resistance, and water and oil repellency and in the ability to inhibit photocatalytic activity.
