<p>The invention concerns a method and a device for mounting a McPherson strut suspension radius rod, comprising steps which consist in: inserting the elements forming the control rod beneath a mounting head (30) having at least a tilting degree of liberty; bringing the control rod top end alongside a portion (38) of the mounting head (30); compressing the spring (4) by the relative movement of the mounting head (30) with respect to locking means engaged in the shock-absorber body; and mounting the control rod with its prestressed spring (4), when said mounting head portion comes to a stop and when the shock-absorber rod (3) moves beyond the upper spring retainer (10).</p> |
