<p>The present invention relates to a method for the vacuum arc-processing of a metallic wire that involves cleaning the wire, metallising the same and applying a polymer protection coating thereon, wherein said method increases the yield and improves the processing quality. This invention is characterised in that a distributed set of electrodes (4) with side cooling panels (12) and a plurality of intermediate cooling rollers (13) are arranged along the wire, and in that the wire is introduced into a chamber after running through a layer of a viscous liquid (16). According to a second embodiment, the wire is forwarded through a set of cleaning electrodes, through vacuum-diffusion spraying modules (18), through resistive heating electrodes (6) and through a polymer-film deposition unit (22). According to a third embodiment, the system for transporting the wire (3) includes a plurality of counter-rotating cooling drums (25).</p> |
