A heel support (1) made of soft elastomer, especially silicone, has a cushion (3) section to relieve pressure on a heel spur. The cushion (3) has the same Shore hardness but has numerous small cavities (6), e.g. spherical or cylindrical holes, to make it compressible. Spherical cavities are produced by including spheres that melt during molding, e.g. polystyrene spheres. Cylindrical holes that reach to the outside are molded by pegs in the mold wall.
